Fire/Rescue Department

Established 1914

The City of Crystal Lake Fire/Rescue Department is responsible for providing 24-hour a day fire protection, rescue, and emergency ambulance services to residents of Crystal Lake and the Crystal Lake Rural Fire Protection District.

The Department strives to provide the BEST service possible to everyone it serves.

Stations

Currently, the City of Crystal Lake has three (3) stations that are staffed 24-hours per day. Stations were built in various locations around the City to allow for the quickest response possible to calls. The City is divided into three (3) response districts and all calls are dispatched advising of the district and vehicles that are due to respond to the call. Station 1, located at the Municipal Complex, covers from Route 14 to the northern edge of the district. Station 3, located at Virginia and Pyott Roads, covers the Southeastern portion of the district, East of McHenry Avenue and south of Route 14. This includes the business district west of McHenry Avenue on Route 14. Station 4, located at Bard and Huntley Roads, covers the southwestern portion of the district west of McHenry Avenue and south of Route 14.
