The Fire Prevention Bureau contributes an integral element towards safety in the community. The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for many different aspects of public safety including plan reviews, code enforcement and inspections. The Bureau plays a key role in providing safe buildings by ensuring proper protection from fire and occupant safety by enforcing the City’s Fire Prevention Code.

After a Fire
Recovering from a fire can be a physically and mentally draining process. When tragedy strikes, lives are suddenly turned upside down. Often the most difficult part of the process is understanding where to begin and who to contact regarding the incident. The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department has developed the “Citizen’s Guide to Fire Recovery” to provide you with the information you may need in the near future, to rebuild your life.
