The Sewer Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance, operation and management of the sanitary and storm sewer collection and conveyance systems. There are over 166 miles of sanitary sewer and over 60 miles of storm sewer. Currently, there are 26 sanitary pumping stations and three storm pumping stations that are operated and maintained by the Division. The Sewer Maintenance Division routinely checks both sewer systems, cleans, televises and repairs defects found during the inspection process. More information about the City's two sewer systems can be found here.
Storm Water Management
The City's storm sewer is a vital piece of infrastructure that the City is dedicated to maintain. Preserving the quality and assuring the availabity of storm water is a critical function of the Sewer Division. The Municipal Seperate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program was created by the Division, under the direction of the EPA, to ensure that this valuable resource is maintained in the City. The links below illustrate the City's commitment to this program.
