Fire Prevention Bureau

All commercial and multi-family occupancies are inspected annually to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and codes. If violations are noted, occupancies are expected to correct such violations, and to be re-inspected within approximately two weeks. Questions regarding the Fire Safety Inspection Program should be directed to the Fire Prevention Bureau at (815) 459-2020, ext. 4147, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
