Home MenuHighland Avenue and Spruce Lane Water Main Improvements
Project Description
Highland Avenue and Spruce Lane have existing four and six-inch water mains located under the street pavement and an additional water main located in the rear yard of the homes along Highland Avenue. The backyard main is difficult to access without impacts to the adjacent properties and would require the Public Works Department to rent equipment to access the area. The existing four-inch water main along Highland Avenue results in limited water flow and fire flow for the area that includes the Dole Mansion. As part of this project, a new 8-inch diameter water main will be constructed along Highland Avenue and Ringling Road to replace the existing four-inch and six-inch water mains. The existing backyard water main will be abandoned and the homes will be serviced from the mains on Highland Avenue and Spruce Lane. This project requires replacement of the water services along the backyard main.
This project is scheduled to begin in May, and to be completed in the month of August.
