Brush Pick-up Begins

  • Date: 05/02/2016

Brush Pick-Up

Annually, Crystal Lake provides residents with curbside brush collection. Starting in May, the Public Works Department collects small tree limbs and brush from every street. Trucks will only visit each street once during the program, so please place your brush at the curb no later than May 1st.  Residents are encouraged to begin placing their brush in the parkway the last two weeks of April.

Residents are restricted to placing brush under six feet in length and under six inches in diameter on the parkway in front of their residence for collection. Grass clippings and other landscape waste will not be accepted.

The accumulated brush will be ground into woodchips and placed in a pile at the brush drop off site at Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2, located at Dartmoor Drive and Coventry Lane.  Residents can pick up woodchips free of charge.
