Residents will have the option to change tote sizes once per year at no cost.  Lakeshore Recycling Systems can be reached by calling (847) 381-9300 or on their website.

Steps to choose the tote size:

1. Go to Lakeshore Recycling Systems website.
2. Under the "Municipalities" tab, select Crystal Lake.
3. Click on the box next to the tote size you would like to request.
4. Enter address and contact information.
5. Click "submit form".

Two curbside electronics collection events will occur annually. The first electronics collection will be the week of March 7th to March 11nd. The second electronics collection will be the week of September 12th to September 16th. Additional information can be found here.

Residents will also be allowed to co-mingle food scraps, organics, dog waste and kitty litter for composting in the yard waste container. Lakeshore Recycling Systems will also offer curbside water-based paint collection for a fee. You must call LRS ahead of time for this service.
