Effective June 1st, all credit/debit card transactions are subject to a service fee. Fees are remitted directly to the City’s payment processing agent. You may avoid the transaction fee by paying cash, check or signing up for direct debit. For the direct debit program, the City will auto deduct your utility bill payment from a checking or savings account on the due date. Complete the Direct Debit Application Form.

Online Payment

Web Payment:  Utility bill payments may be paid online by clicking here, and follow the online instructions provided.  There is no need to register in order to make a one-time online payment. All credit/debit card transactions are subject to a service fee. Fees are remitted directly to the City’s payment processing agent. 

Auto-Pay:  Utility bills can be automatically paid from your bank account free of charge. For transactions made with a credit/debit card, these payments are subject to a service fee. To sign up to make automatic payments for utility bills each month, please use the following instructions:

Step 1 - Click here to be re-directed to the City’s new payment platform, Invoice Cloud.

Step 2 - Click “Utility”.

Step 3 - Search for your account number.  Accounts numbers are can be found on your current water bill.

Step 4 - Select your account, and click “Register Customer”.

Step 5 - After registering, click on AutoPay on your customer dashboard to enroll.

Direct Debit 

Avoid late payments and penalties by having your payment withdrawn directly from your bank every month. Complete the Direct Debit Application Form, and attach a voided check or savings deposit slip with your completed form. Bring or mail the form to: Attn: Finance Department, City of Crystal Lake, 100 W. Woodstock Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. 

Drop Box

City Hall offers one drop box to pay your water and sewer bill. You can find the box in City Hall's front parking lot, located in the center island next to the U.S. Post Office mailbox.

Walk-In

Payments are always accepted in-person at City Hall. Cash, checks, Apple Pay, and credit cards are accepted. Effective June 1st, all credit/debit card transactions are subject to a service fee. Mailing

A self-addressed envelope is included with your monthly bill, if you would like to mail your water and sewer payment. Please allow at least 5 business days for mailing.

Phone

Phone call bill payment can be completed by calling (844) 591-0235. Payments handled through phone call can only be completed using electronic payment options. Phone call bill payment can be completed at any time of the day, any day of the week. All credit/debit card transactions are subject to a service fee.
