The Crystal Lake Police Department is divided into two Divisions: Operations and Administrative. The Department builds community partnership by upholding public trust, fostering mutual respect, and providing services to enhance Crystal Lake residents' quality of life.

Mission

The Crystal Lake Police Department is committed to providing the highest level of police services to the people who visit, live, and work in the City of Crystal Lake. By collaborating with our citizens, we will strive to enhance the quality of life by providing police services that cultivate public trust and are responsive to the needs of the community. 

Lobby Hours

Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm

Police Officers are available 24 hours a day. After lobby hours, phone at the door.

The Crystal Lake Police Department would like to thank all who participated in our 2023 Citizen Survey.  More than 200 people completed the survey.  The results demonstrate a vast majority of the participants hold a favorable view of our department, officers, and the services we provide.  As we continue to strive to perform at even higher levels, please know even critical comments or suggestions for improvement have garnered our attention.  Committed to transparency, we offer the results of the Citizen Survey here.  Please note we redacted personal information provided by some participants but otherwise the results remain unaltered.
