The Crystal Lake Sister Cities Committee, with representatives from the City of Crystal Lake and the Chamber of Commerce, has established an international relationship with Holzgerlingen, Germany. 

Holzgerlingen became Crystal Lake's Sister City on September 30, 1996.  Groups of citizens in both communities hold a variety of activities, including exchange visits by high school students and performing arts groups. Crystal Lake residents are encouraged to participate in the Sister Cities program.

The Committee welcomes new members to its meetings, held on the first Monday of each month at 4:00 PM at a variety of Crystal Lake restaurant locations. For more information, please contact Karin Betz.
