Coffee With The Chief
This program is free and open to all.
In 2014, suicides accounted for 42,826 deaths in the United States. It is the 10th leading cause of death in the country according to the CDC, and is the 2nd leading cause of death among males 44 years of age and under. For every suicide, 25 attempts are made.
You are cordially invited to join Chief James Black and members of the Crystal Lake Police Department for coffee, conversation, and an educational program on Suicide Prevention and Awareness.
During this segment of Coffee with the Chief, representatives from the Suicide Prevention Task Force will provide a training on Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR). QPR’s mission is to save lives and reduce suicidal behaviors by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training.
Coffee with the Chief is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Crystal Lake Police Department, 100 W Woodstock Street, Crystal Lake.
