The City of Crystal Lake is planning improvements to the City’s water system that will increase capacity for current and future water demands. The improvement will be in the area of McHenry Avenue, roughly between Golf Road and Dartmoor Drive. See the attached exhibit for the exact route of the improvement. 

These proposed improvements includes the construction of a new deep well and the installation of a transmission water main. The construction of the well will be near the Wastewater Treatment Plant at McHenry Avenue and Dartmoor Drive. A new water transmission pipe will be constructed that will connect this new well to the water treatment plant near Highland Avenue (northwest of Lundahl Middle School) which is 1.3 miles away.
