The City of Crystal Lake Hotel Tax was established to improve the quality of life for its residents, corporate citizens and visitors. These funds are invested back into the community through designated events and activities that will enhance visitor appeal and encourage overnight stays.

The City welcomes funding requests from eligible organizations. Both federally recognized, tax-exempt, not-for-profit organizations and for profit organizations may apply. For profit organizations will be subject to additional restrictions, as outlined in the guidelines.

The City of Crystal Lake is no longer accepting Hotel-Motel Tax Applications for the May 2024 through April 2026 time period.  Applications for the next funding cycle will be sent out in November 2025. New organizations interested in being notified when applications become available, please contact swrolson@crystallake.org.
