Medical Services

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department is proud to provide the finest ambulance service available in McHenry County. Our crews staff four (4) ambulances daily, with two (2) ambulances available in reserve. Each ambulance has a minimum of two (2) Emergency Medical Technician Paramedics.

Crystal Lake paramedics transport approximately 3,349 patients per year, with the majority of injuries relating to medical emergencies. Please contact us with questions about our emergency medical services, as our Department continues to grow and offer new training opportunities in order to serve Crystal Lake with pride.

Ambulance Billing

The City of Crystal Lake bills for ambulance transport, as the City does not tax for ambulance service. The rates are based upon Medicare fee structures.
