Substance Abuse
The Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, is pleased to announce the establishment of the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances.
The Helpline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Individuals that suffer from opioid use disorders or anyone impacted by the disease can utilize the free and confidential Helpline. Trained specialists will help connect callers with treatment services and recovery support services.
Tip 411
The Crystal Lake Police Department is a partner in the national anonymous tip text program, “tip411." The internet-based tool allows the public to text message an anonymous tip to police, and the police may respond back, creates an anonymous conversation.
A person who provides a tip that leads to a successful arrest and conviction is eligible for a reward through Crystal Lake Crimestoppers. Tip 411 removes all identifiable information before the Police Department has the ability to see it, which makes the program completely anonymous. The police have no ability to identify the sender, although normal text messaging rates do apply.
